Your average cruise ship is far from the most luxurious (or even worthwhile) experience.
Ritz-Carlton wants to change that.
Expected to launch their cruise line in 2019 with a three yacht fleet, Ritz Carlton is thinking smaller, not bigger, with their plans to attack the market.
Each of the beautifully designed vessels will hold only 298 passengers, providing a super upscale and personalized experience you can't find with the all-inclusive nonsense or Disney character-filled experiences. There will be spas, fine dining, and everything else you'd expect from a premium vacation.
The small size of ships also means they will have the ability to be more nimble in how it can dock, avoiding the touristy destinations for more pleasurable adventures.
