This Cool Photo Series Highlights the Demise of Mid-Century Modern Motels

Say goodbye to the neon vibes.

Lensman Mark Havens provides us with a look into the slowly vanishing architecture of the Wildwoods–a New Jersey resort town which contains the highest concentration of mid-century modern commercial architecture in America. Back in the 50s and 60s, these resorts were the bee's knees of motel options, the only joints worthy of shacking up in. It's a sad thought that these accommodations haven't been touched in nearly four decades, but we're glad Mark was there capture their neon beauty.
