Back when Taylor Stitch first introduced the Ojai Jacket, its signature take on the classic chore coat named after one of the coolest places in California, we knew it would become part of the brand's core collection. And its latest take on the workwear classic is perhaps the best yet.
The silhouette was inspired by the jackets worn by French laborers, but the Ojai Jacket in Charcoal Wool has a distinctly British country feel. It's got all of the signature details of the original—unique ring-back buttons, tons of storage, and rugged bartack stitching at stress points—while the midweight wool weave adds an increased element of elegance.
The custom 12-oz woolen blend, which contains reclaimed fibers for sustainability, is soft, sturdy, and warm. As the brand notes, "the interplay between the subtle herringbone weave and the tweed texture adds some incredible depth to an already striking piece."
The perfect jacket for sipping single malt by a campfire—or doing anything that requires you to look dashing, devil-may-care, and extremely capable, really.
