Chilly weather means it’s time to don a warm garment, but that doesn’t mean you have to look all bundled up. Forget your old ski parka; instead reach for this Forester Jacket from Taylor Stitch that will flatter you with its clean lines.

The Taylor Stitch crew call the pattern Ash Plaid, an understated but eye-catching gradient of greys and light charcoal achieved by intelligent design of the warp and weft of the 13-oz fabric. The wool is strengthened with a bit of nylon for durability. The inner collar and cuffs are lined with cotton twill. This jacket will take you through changes of season for a long time to come.

In addition to the two chest pockets perfectly pattern-matched to the background fabric there are two lower pockets for your EDC or to keep your hands warm. Snap-button closures deck the pockets and cuffs as well as the placket so you can button up to the neck against the elements when needed or loosen as you’re relaxing indoors.
