Boast: A Tennis Heritage Brand Making Some Of The Coolest Clothes Around
Boast is one of the best brands on the planet, mostly because of its east coast waspy heritage but with a completely disheveled spin. If a brand like Lacoste is Fred Couples, Boast is John Daly. It's a little more wild and a little more F you. But still very country club and very tennis inspired. Here's a few on and off the court photos from way back in the day, even a former United States President sported it:
And their vintage ads are also pretty unreal:
The brand is making a nice comeback, with modern looks that are preppy, but not the traditional kind of preppy. It sort of flips that idea on its head and gives you something that's wearable and cool and kind of like a private club. Not everyone knows Boast, but the ones who do, get it. Here are some of their current fits:
Last year they did a shoot with Nicholas Maggio and Jake Davis. It was, in every way imaginable, one of the best looks from a brand in a long time:
All in all, they're a brand that needs to be on your radar. The polo shirts are highly recommended and fit perfectly, and this knit waffle sweater they have going on is pretty money too. It's hard to go wrong with their gear. Oh yeah, and if you're curious about their logo, it's a Japanese maple leaf, which apparently translates directly to "upscale slacker." How fitting.
