What happens when you tweak the traditional elements of the bomber jacket to make it an altogether more substantial garment, while elevating it to new heights style-wise? Look no further than Taylor Stitch's cool new Waxed Bomber for the answer.
You'll recognize the Waxed Bomber's classic ribbed cuffs, collar and hem, but then things start to get interesting. The S.F.-based apparel artisans brought in the UK's storied firm Halley Stevensons to develop the custom 5.5-oz. 100% organic waxed cotton canvas it's made of.
The result is a uniquely versatile piece "that’ll never let a little rain slow it down." Because natural wax is not only highly effective at blocking moisture, it can be reapplied over and over, meaning your bomber will perform for years and years.
Not content to stop there, the T.S. crew then lined the jacket's body with organic cotton (featuring the brand's signature San Francisco map print), and finished things off with a storm flap concealing an antique nickel zipper, with tonal snaps for a streamlined look.
And instead of basic black, they dyed the custom canvas a deep navy blue, meaning you don't have to look as though you fly fighter planes for a living when you're only headed as far as the next Aperol Spritz.
