New York City-based menswear designer Todd Snyder and his namesake label have done swimwear in the past but it's mostly been in collaborative efforts. For SS22, that changes with the Montauk Swim Short.
An overhauled version of the classic board short or "baggie," the retro-tinged style features an elastic waist, a fine mesh liner, a gray/black drawcord with metal tips, two side pockets, and a self-draining back pocket. The 5" inseam, meanwhile, delivers a sophisticated feel that's more 007 than beach bro.
The new release is live here in not just one or two colorways but nearly a dozen. And though the simple styles appeal to us the most, you can also opt into louder prints including a psychedelic pattern.
