Taylor Stitch's Olive Green Leather Moto Jacket Has Style for Miles

One of Taylor Stitch's greatest collabs to date is with another San Francisco-based maker of legacy pieces for gents who appreciate permanent style: Golden Bear, established in 1922. T.S. first joined forces with them to reinterpret an iconic leather motorcycle jacket based on a vintage version the brand unearthed which had a Golden Bear label in it.

And this season they're issuing it in a cool new color along with its two original hues, which means that even if you already own one you'll probably want to make room on the rack.

"The story of our Leather Moto spans two generations and thousands of miles," Taylor Stitch notes, calling it a "handsome, hardwearing recreation that will last generations" and eventually have your children fighting over it.

We have to concur with them that the legacy piece made by hand in California of chrome-tanned, drum-dyed 3.5-oz. full-grain steerhide is a  future heirloom. The leather will soften and acquire a beautiful patina as the years progress, while updated details like flannel-lined pockets and a Thinsulate lining "will keep you comfortable no matter how you choose to break it in."

The Moto Jacket in Loden Steerhide, now available for discounted pre-order with delivery expected in December will no doubt sell out fast, so don't sleep on this is our advice.
