Hit the Road In This Handsome Western Shirt
At some point in his life, every man of style should own at least one western-inspired item of clothing. It might be a vintage RRL blanket coat, a fringed suede jacket, or a good old Stetson Stratoliner. Or even better, this organic cotton shirt from Taylor Stitch. It's truly one-of-a-kind and the sort of shirt Steve McQueen would have worn if he'd lived long enough to witness the revolution in classic workwear brought about by the S.F.-based apparel artisans.
In its latest manifestation, the Western Shirt opts for olive melange. And what might that be, you ask? A midweight 100% organic cotton that is both breathable and soft, and given a light rinse to enhance its natural texture, with an olive green cast which keeps it from being too cowboy-esque.
The styling of the Western Shirt is more Once Upon a Time in Hollywood than Once Upon a Time in the West, and Taylor Stitch aptly describes it "right at home in the big city despite its origins out on the range."
The old-school front and back yoke design, angled chest pockets, YKK western snaps, and antique brass concho top button wouldn't look out of place in a sepia-toned photograph, but The Western's tailored cut, rugged construction, and crisp selvage finish "ensure it's ready to roll with the punches in 2020 and beyond."
