Buck Mason is getting fall-tastic with its latest collection, which is filled with waxed canvas outerwear staples for those who like to keep things classic yet clean, crisp, and minimal. But unlike other waxed canvas pieces on the market — which tend to deliver a cold, wet, almost oily feel — the brand worked with the 150-year-old Halley Stevensons mill in Scotland to develop a version that's dry to the touch yet equally as weather repellent.
You'll have your choice between the Dry Waxed Canvas Highland Jacket, which is a classic chore coat that hits at the hip and fitted with four front pockets, or the Dry Waxed Canvas N1 Deck Jacket, which updates the style and feel of the U.S. Navy issued N-1 Jacket, giving it a modern edge. Both arrive in a pair of colorways and are finished with plush wool-blend blanket linings and corduroy-lined collars, cuffs, and pockets.
And for something a little lighter, and California appropriate, the Waxed Herringbone Flight Jacket seems to be the play. It's finished with a suede collar and reinforced elbow patches for an extra shot of cool.
