Chukka Meets Chelsea and Everyone Wins With These Badass New Boots
When the apparel artisans at Taylor Stitch made their first foray into footwear we, like all men of style, rejoiced. Now the S.F.-based design gurus are upping the ante with a boot that's bound to become one of fall's biggest stars.
The Ranch Boot in rich saddle tan leather is a cross between a chukka and a Chelsea boot, with all the best features of both. Supremely comfortable and easy to get on and off thanks to elastic inserts, they are re-soleable for a lifetime of wear.
Taylor Stitch searches high and low for the best possible hides to construct all of its leather products, and their partner tannery for the Ranch Boot holds a Gold Rating from the Leather Working Group for its safe labor and environmentally-sound manufacturing practices.
Which just makes the sensation all that more appealing when you slip into the buttery sheepskin lining and foam insole which gives them slipper-like comfort right out of the box.
The boots are handmade in León, México the shoemaking capital of the world, and they don't require an arduous break-in period. It's also worth noting that all of Taylor Stitch's shoes are made on the same last to ensure consistency of fit.
i.e., no guessing, no stressing, and plenty of well-dressing.
