Acid-washed denim might have led most of the fashion world in the 1980s but the style is actually rooted in the golden era of California surfing. And now it's making a comeback thanks to its easygoing vibe and laidback presence.

You have a few good options but Todd Snyder is going the extra mile with its new release. The deep, deep fade is one of the strongest on the market. The weight at 12.5 ounces makes it an ideal transitional piece as spring moves into summer. And the hint of stretch keeps things easy and laidback.

The piece is finished off with a few leveled-up details, including antique copper rivets, a subtle "T.S." embroidery on the wearer’s right side, chain stitching on the coin pocket, and a suede-embossed patch on the back.
