Here's what happens when Snook Architects gets tasked with creating a modern home out of an 18th century broken-down barn.

As you can see, the results are stunning. But it wasn't easy, it was a tough ask considering the once-agricultural shed was about to collapse, as previous owners constructed a failing truss structure. The team at Snook Architects came in and and beautifully reinforced them and kept the original spirit with stout wooden trusses, and exposed brickwork to complement it's double-height kitchen.

The interiors were designed as a tribute to the honest functionality the once-barn represented. With a stone fireplace, timber-framed windows and concrete flooring, Snook Architects nailed the aesthetic.

We certainly appreciate this beautiful transformation. It's stylish, modern and cool for all the right reasons. Hat tip to the lucky owner who gets to call this home.
