The World's Sleekest Solar Powered Watch Has Landed

Solar watches don't get enough respect. That's due, mostly, to almost every modern option being marketed to children or unwashed, conspiracy-obsessed survivalists.

But Instrmnt Applied Design aims to change that with its newly unveiled Filed Watch.

The stunner opts for a Japanese-made movement powered by a solar cell but unlike most others in the category, there's has been specially engineered to sit completely hidden behind the dial. It also draws power from both natural and artificial light, requiring no maintenance and delivering ultimate ease.

The movement is paired with a three-part 38mm case machined from 316L steel and a less-is-more dial design with a healthy amount of Luminova on the hands for clear optics in all lighting conditions. It's finished off with a strap of your choice in five different styles, each made in Germany or Italy from a single cut of leather, rubber, or performance nylon.

Limited to just 250 examples worldwide and priced at just $315 USD, you can get your pre-order in right here ahead of its Sept. 1 release date.
