Vaio Reveals 3D Molded Carbon Fiber Laptop

Vaio (no longer associated with Sony) has just unveiled the Vaio Z, a new flagship laptop with an exterior constructed using uni-direction carbon fiber. It's done through a process that essentially stacks the fiber sheets in three dimensions, "maximizing its rigidity and functional beauty" while bringing the weight down to a mere 2.3 lbs.

The Vaio Z also has plenty of performance, thanks to an Intel Core i7 11th Generation processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of SSD storage, a sharp 14" display with 4K resolution, and 10 hours of battery life.

Available to pre-order here, pricing for the supercar-style laptop starts just over $3,500 USD.
