The Latest Timepiece From Louis Vuitton Is A Work Of Art For Your Wrist
At Baselworld 2015, one of the most unique and beautiful watches on display was the Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime. It's an elegant watch with an eccentric look and worthwhile for a few reasons--it takes an artisan 50 hours to hand paint the various rings on the dial, the prints that correspond with the different city/time zones were inspired by monograms used on vintage Louis Vuitton luggage, and there are no hands--the time is told entirely by the yellow arrow. With a price tag at $67,500, some may easily see it as overpriced, but there's no denying the craftsmanship and artistry on display here is next level.
