At the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France TAG Heuer just unveiled a cool new horological tribute to the iconic Gulf Racing colors made famous by Steve McQueen and other legendary drivers. 

The new limited edition Monaco Gulf, modeled on the watch that the King of Cool wore in 1971's Le Mans movie, was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40's first Le Mans victory in 1968.

Only 50 pieces will be offered to collectors worldwide priced at $6,350 each. The Monaco Gulf chronograph with its 39 mm square case and "petroleum blue" features Gulf's famed blue and orange racing stripe. The brand is also releasing a Formula 1 Gulf Special Edition Chronograph with more modern looks.

In addition to a some historic Gulf Racing vehicles at Le Mans Heuer and Gulf debuted a Porsche 911 race car in the iconic blue and orange with Heuer logos that we bet McQueen would have loved to get his hands on....
