Microsoft Reveals the Sleek, Transforming Surface Laptop Studio

Microsoft just showed off a wide array of updated Surface products, though most only saw subtle upgrades to power and performance. However, the Surface Laptop Studio is something pretty exciting.

The laptop has a streamlined, MacBook Pro-style look but with one big change: a transforming 14.4-inch, 120Hz PixelSense Flow Display that can be tilted in all sorts of ways, from the traditional laptop form to a tablet. The display can also be pushed forward, which is handy for those who prefer to pair their laptop with an external keyboard and mouse.

In terms of specs, the Surface Laptop Studio is powered by an 11th Gen Core H Series processor with up to 32GB of RAM and either an Iris Xe or GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics—the latter being a decent play for light gaming. Battery life is also quite strong, packing 19 hours of on-the-go performance, while the included Surface Pen, a 1080p HD video camera, dual Studio Mics, and redesigned Dolby Atmos speakers are all nice bonuses.

Releasing Oct. 4 and priced at $1,599 USD, you can get your pre-order in right here
