The 'Stock Market of Things' Adds Rolexes & More to Its Roster

Place your bid.

Detroit-based StockX, the live "bid/ask" marketplace backed by Eminem and Mark Wahlberg among others, has just added luxury watches to its portfolio of goods. Dozens of Rolexes, APs, Omegas, Tudors and more are now available on the site, which started out offering rare and hard to find sneakers to dedicated collectors.

Reg Brack, former International Head of Retail, Watches for famed auction house Christie's is heading up the company's watches division, meaning you should take it seriously. Dubbed the world’s first “Stock Market of Things,” StockX expects to hit $100 million in gross merchandise value this year.

The StockX platform is based on the "transparent and anonymous" methods of the New York Stock Exchange offering guaranteed product authentication, real-time market pricing, in-depth market analysis, individual user portfolio tracking and historical sales and volume metrics. Buyers place bids, sellers place asks and when a bid and ask meet – boom, done deal.
