Skeleton Concept just unleashed a reworked Rolex GMT-Master II led by complete skeletonization of its dial. It was commissioned by French footballer Blaise Matuidi, who previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus and now hits the pitch for Inter Miami CF—owned by David Beckham.
Other bespoke changes include a reshaped automatic winding module providing additional depth and volume, subtle touches of matte green applied to both the chapter ring and winding rotor, swapped "Rolex" name and logo in favor of the customizer, and an exhibition caseback showing off the movement from the flipside. The markers and hands, meanwhile, were applied with a white luminesce material for improved legibility and style points.
No mere one-off, Skeleton Concept built a total of 40 "Matuidi Concept" examples as part of a ltd. edition collection. Available to pre-order here.
