The newly unveiled JLA M.1 is a gorgeously modern end table first, WiFi-enabled speaker system second.
Hidden in plain view, the secret stereo automatically detects when music is being played through a connected device, replacing the need to stumble through a clunky "connected" app or inconvenient Bluetooth pairing again. Control wise, they went unsurprisingly minimal, with just two touch-sensitive buttons on the tabletop for controlling volume and absolutely nothing else.
The table-speaker hybrid is available now and will set you back a cool $995 to get this in your living room. Considering how expensive good furniture and good audio are on their own, that doesn't seem too bad.
