Today, Samsung unveiled the new Samsung Fold, a foldable smartphone-tablet hybrid that'll cost you nearly $2,000. And frankly, it's quite impressive.
The long-rumored device is clad with a 4.6-inch AMOLED front display with a hidden hinge that transforms the device into a 7.3-inch tablet when unfolded. It packs a 7nm Octa-Core processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, two batteries, three back cameras, one front camera, two side cameras, and 'fast' wired or wireless charging. It'll also be available in four different colors at launch: silver, black, green, and blue.
The technology is undeniably cool, no doubt, but cool enough to a) justify the price tag and b) justify the dreaded green bubbles? Time will tell.
