These Bespoke 'Black Ice' Persols Bring the Cool

Italian eyewear house Persol honored Steve McQueen with a special edition 714SM (Steve McQueen) release featuring inward folding hinges which showcase the signature Persol double arrow on the temples, a slight variation to the modern examples and something that hadn't been produced since the '60s.

They're not impossible to find but they're not easy to find, either. Especially if you have a particular size and color in mind.

Fortunately, online eyewear source Eyegoodies got a handful. But instead of just selling them as is, they made them even cooler courtesy custom 'Black Ice' polarized lenses from renowned Japanese lens maker Nikon.

More than just added stealthy style, the special edition lenses provide the sharpest visual acuity in even the harshest conditions, virtually eliminate glare, and protect against ultraviolet and infrared light.
