A one-of-a-kind solid gold Carrera Heuer identical to one Jack Heuer presented to famed Swedish racing driver Ronnie Peterson at the 1972 German Grand Prix will be offered for sale at Bonhams' Les Grandes Marques du Monde à Monaco auction in the posh principality on May 11.

The 18k gold chronograph is inscribed on the back "Success. Ronnie Peterson from Jack W Heuer," and is the only re-issue of the original which is on display at the TAG Heuer Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It's expected to fetch up to $36,000.

Peterson (pictured above with Heuer), a two-time runner-up in the FIA Formula One World Drivers' Championship, placed third in the race. His one-of-a-kind Carrera, as a rare example of a racing watch owned by an actual driver, is going to be some collector's very lucky score.
