Omega just unveiled its latest ltd. edition version of the Seamaster Planet Ocean watch which will be presented to the winning team of the round-the-world Volvo Ocean Race next month. The Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black “Volvo Ocean Race” was unveiled this week as the high-powered event made its only U.S. stop in Newport, Rhode Island.

In addition to the winners' watches, 73 examples (in tribute to the year the Ocean Race first began) will be available to collectors worldwide. The 45.5 mm divers' chronograph features a black ceramic case with a red rubber insert on the bezel covering the crucial first 15 minutes used while competing in a regatta.

The brushed black ceramic dial includes each Limited Edition number as well as 18K white gold hour-minute hands and indexes and a red Volvo Ocean Race ring on the subdial at 3 o’clock. There's also an official “Volvo Ocean Race” logo engraved on the caseback of the watch which is water resistant to 2000 ft.
