Nintendo Announces New Handheld Video Game System

After months of rumors and speculation, Nintendo finally unveiled the Stitch Lite, a less expensive version of its flagship console that comes in at just $200.

It won't be able to dock to a television and is purely a handhold play, which means the Joy-Con controllers aren't fully detachable like its big brother. The screen is also slightly smaller, measuring 5.5 inches instead of 6.2 inches. It's not all negatives, though, as the device is significantly more sturdy and comfortable in the hands than its predecessor with longer battery life to boot.

The Switch Lite launches on September 20 in three different colors. Amazon and other retailers are yet to launch the pre-order page but keep a lookout here for that to drop any minute now.
