The Next Generation iPad Is Here—And Basically a Laptop
Apple just debuted a new iPad Pro alongside an overhauled Magic Keyboard complete with a "floating" design and smooth angle adjustment. It's also clad with backlit keys and a trackpad—now supported in the new version of iPadOS—which all help deliver a more traditional computing experience.
The iPad Pro updates are a bit more subtle but certainly pack a punch. First, it's equipped with a new A12Z Bionic chip that provides more power than the vast majority of PC laptops, allowing you to do anything from 4K video editing to extensive gaming with even more ease. It's also locked and loaded with an ultra-wide camera, studio-quality microphones, and LiDAR scanning for heightened augmented reality experiences.
The new iPad Pro is available to order right here with pricing starting at $799. The revamped Magic Keyboard, however, won't land until May, where it will be priced at $299 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and $349 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Apple also dropped a cheeky (and effective) TV spot alongside the launch, which you can check out above.
