Hallelujah. The new Apple TV 4K was revealed today, which arrives with a completely redesigned remote that retires the painful design of old and revamps the sofa staple with a sleek aluminum design and traditional buttons for easy, accurate navigation. It also adds a power button that controls the TV’s power, and another for mute, so you only need one remote to control your entire setup.
As for the Apple TV 4K itself, it now features an A12 Bionic chip for smoother performance paired with the best-in-class operating system you know and appreciate. It's not the biggest leap forward for those who already own the previous Apple TV 4K but thankfully the updated remote will be available separately ($59 USD) if you don't want to fully upgrade. The full package, meanwhile, will be priced at $179 USD when it drops in May.
