Having a Rolex is cool. Having a Rolex that was on the wrist of James Bond is even cooler.
French auction house Artcurial plans to sell the pre-Daytona chronograph George Lazenby wore in the 007 film On Her Majesty's Secret Service during its July 18th Fine Watches sale. Surely, it will fetch a pretty penny.
In great shape, it also features a pretty interesting customization: the second hand is in red, not stainless steel. The production company behind the early Bond flicks specifically ordered it from a Swiss jeweler that way, which sets it apart from every other pre-Daytona chronograph.
Unfortunately, the Q-Branch didn't throw in a hidden retractable piano-wire or wrist dart gun, but you can't win 'em all.....
