Get It: James Bond's Custom Tom Ford Sunglasses From 'Spectre'

Eyegoodies recreates 007's shades.

Daniel Craig pays a subtle tribute to one of his heroes in the new Bond film Spectre, in the form of some slick shades. Just like Steve McQueen, aka the King of Cool, did for 1968's brilliant The Thomas Crown Affair, Craig had custom lenses put into his sunglasses for a bit of extra badass-ness.

With the King of Cool it was bespoke blue lenses for his now iconic Persol 714s. Craig's take is custom brown ones for his slick Tom Ford Snowden model shades.

Handmade in Italy, the Snowdon is a classic shape made of thick acetate. In the movie Craig first sports them for the funeral scene in Rome. Our man Frank Scious at online eyewear boutique Eyegoodies noticed however that his lenses looked different.

Consulting with his Tom Ford reps, Scious confirmed that the Snowdens in "black on dark tortoise" colorway as worn by Craig are only made with grey lenses, whereas in the film they are brown.

Moving into gear Scious had his craftsmen create custom polarized brown lenses for the Snowdens to match Craig's, and is offering them in a limited edition time online for $389 a pair. Well done, James.
