Last summer we told you about Jaguar's plans to release a limited run of 60th anniversary E-Type continuation cars, in pairs. Now Jaguar Classic has unveiled the first matched set of the six-figure beauties, along with a matching pair of wristwatches and a rally timer from cool British brand Bremont.
Jaguar commissioned the watchmaker, which has produced E-Type themed pieces in the past, to create the retro-styled chronograph and a rally timer to mark six decades of the vehicle Enzo Ferrari once dubbed the most beautiful car in the world.
Only 120 examples of the Bremont watch box set—60 pieces each in green and grey, to match the cars—are being produced for collectors worldwide, priced at about $18,000 USD per set. Each E-type-inspired Bremont Watch can also be found in the Rally Timer Box Set, which includes both chronographs as well as the rally timer, the first-ever produced by Bremont.
The rally timer, a combined stopwatch, tachymeter, and clock "can be displayed on a stand or fitted to a customer's car," according to Jag. And this is the best part—"all 120 customers will also be offered the exclusive opportunity to drive three classic E-type vehicles on a visit to the Jaguar Fen End facility" in the United Kingdom.
Collaborating with Jaguar on the watch set "is a real honor," as Bremont co-founder and classic car collector Nick English puts it. “There is so much detail and inspiration to work with."
