Samsung just revealed The Terrace, a new QLED 4K TV in its "lifestyle" family which includes AIROWS favorites like The Frame and The Serif. But unlike the other members, this one is designed for outdoor viewing courtesy a specially developed anti-reflective coating and 2,000 nits of brightness for the sunniest summer days. It's also IP5 water and dust resistant to protect it from the elements—or any cannonballs from the pool.
The design is simple but sleek with thin bezels and an overall depth of only 59 millimeters, which is especially impressive considering all the waterproofing involved. It also comes with a built-in HDBaseT receiver for quickly and easily connecting external devices like an Xbox One or Apple TV, though its wide array of pre-loaded apps should be all most people need.
If you're interested in kitting out your backyard with one, it's available to pre-order here with pricing starting at $4,999 for the 55-inch model up to $6,499 for the 75-inch model. And if you really want to do it right, the brand is also releasing a matching soundbar that connects wirelessly to the Terrace, though it doesn't appear to be available for pre-order just yet.
