This Rare Louis XIII Cognac in a Custom Hermes Trunk Could Go for $100K

Slated for auction this weekend.

Louis XIII, the rare cognac house, has teamed with legendary luxury brand Hermès on a trio of exclusive decanters in custom leather trunks that could be sold for over $100,000 each. Called L’Odyssée d’un Roi, the first of the three will be auctioned off on Sept. 10 at Sotheby’s in New York to benefit Martin Scorcese’s The Film Foundation.

Each trunk, representing Europe, Asia, and America, is hand-stitched in the Hermès Atelier and comes complete with a hand-forged white gold Puiforcat pipette, four Saint Louis crystal glasses and a magnum size decanter of rare cognac engraved with a 19th century map commemorating the first travels of Louis XIII.

Bottoms up.
