Awarded tequila authority Ana Maria Romero is one of the most trusted and respected names in the spirit category. So when she was tapped to oversee the creation of a new tequila bottle, we were instantly interested. It's called Mijenta, arrives with a commitment to environmental sustainability, and is designed to not look- or taste- like any tequila before it.
They're kicking things off with a Blanco expression from the highlands of Jalisco, which clocks in at an easy 80 proof and delivers notes of honey and vanilla with touches of caramel and floral before moving to flashes of tropical fruits like peach and melon. And if aesthetics mean something to you, the bottle is also quite artful.
For those interesting in giving it a try, Mijenta Blanco is available to purchase right here for $50 USD. A softer, fuller Reposdao expression will be dropping later this year.
