This Vodka Distilled from Olives Is Like Mykonos in a Glass

Kastra Elion is a truly unique product in the increasingly crowded premium spirits world—a vodka distilled from Greek olives, picked entirely by hand. The family-owned spirit is named after the ancient castle that stands guard over Nafpaktos, on a bay on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth, overlooking the family's famed olive groves.

The delectable olives are then combined with high-quality grains and natural mineral water from Mount Taygetos, on the Peloponnese peninsula in Southern Greece. The mixture is left to ferment and then subsequently distilled.

It is bottled with "no additives or adulterants of any kind," in a handsome porcelain vessel that makes a beautiful addition to any bar. And it should never be mistaken for a flavored vodka.

Expert tasters complement its "complex rich aroma of subtle earthy green olives, citrus oils, and buttery grain," with a rich and textural mouthfeel. Its smoothness is unique and makes the ideal martini, equally appealing served on the rocks or in a cocktail.

And needless to say, it pairs extremely well with Greek food and Mediterranean cuisine in general. As they say in Mykonos, ya mas.
