Air Co. Launches the World’s First Carbon-Negative Vodka

Brooklyn-based startup Air Co. is changing the game with a new vodka that's not made from grain or yeast but carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The process starts with converting carbon from the air into pure ethanol using a specially designed, solar-based electrical procedure. It then uses a proprietary technique that starts with a 20 plate vodka still to purify and dilute the ethanol into 80 proof vodka. No farming, irrigation or fermentation required, same taste you know and expect.

For those excited to try, it's now available at select bars in New York and will soon be on booze delivery service Drizzly.
