6 O’clock Gin, a small-batch spirits brand from Bristol, U.K., recently inked a deal for distribution Stateside, and it's bound to improve our summer soirées. The range of gins from 6 O'clock is made by family-run artisan distiller Bramley & Gage, which focuses on the very best ingredients and time-honored methods.
Among 6 O’clock’s products now available in the U.S. are its flagship London Dry, Damson, Sloe, and Bunel — with extra juniper for a more complex flavor profile — gins, as well as pre-made gin & tonics; the brand's name comes from the British tradition of having a G&T at 6:00 pm, "still enjoyed at the distillery and shared by gin-lovers all over the world."
6 O’clock Gin is known for its carefully selected botanicals, "led by juniper, and precisely balanced for a refreshingly clean taste," the brand notes, a recipe which has garnered awards in England. The bottles are beautifully designed to boot.
“We’d literally traveled the world in search of exciting new gins, and when we tasted these, we knew we had to share them with fellow Americans,” said Daniel Martinez, director of 6 O’clock Gin U.S. operations. While initial American markets are fairly minimal, the brand is also available via CaskCartel.
We can only raise a toast to his generosity, and suggest that you do the same.
