Mr. Robot is one of the most electric shows on television, partially due to it's insanely beautiful cinematography and overall feeling of strangeness. It feels more like an art house movie than something you normally see on TV, where the medium is generally more writing and character focused.
Here's a cool video that Semih Okmn edited showing how they establish that style, which is mostly due to the show constantly breaking every composition rule in the book. They pull it off, obviously, and it's refreshing to see a program turn left when everyone else turns right.
