'The Foreigner' Stars Jackie Chan Like You've Never Seen Him Before

OK, this looks good.

It’s been over a decade since Jackie Chan has starred in a movie with a decent story and action scenes worth his skillset. Rumble in the Bronx and The Legend of Drunken Master have been replaced by last year’s Skiptrace with Johnny Knoxville and voice gigs in the Kung Fu Panda series.

The Foreigner looks like it will change all of that.

Chan plays Quan, a man whose daughter is murdered in a terrorist attack. In order to avenge her death, he finds Gerry Adams (Pierce Brosnan), who is a high-ranking politician with links to the bomb-makers possibly responsible for the death of Quan’s daughter.

The Foreigner is directed by two-time Bond director Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale) and will hit theaters this October.
