New 'Hit-Monkey' Trailer Explains Its Wild, Intriguing Concept
Hulu just shared a new trailer for its upcoming animated series in collaboration with Marvel, Hit-Monkey. And it's — well — one of the craziest things we've seen in concept alone.
Based on a limited run of comic books, the story focuses on the ghost of an assassin, voiced by Jason Sudeikis, who teaches a Japanese snow macaque to avenge his death, fight crime, and shoot to kill.
We'd normally be out on something like this. But the gorgeous animation style and the high-flying trailer have us more than intrigued. Not to mention, it's refreshing to hear Sudeikis break away from his Ted Lasso character for something a little gruffer.
Set to premiere Nov. 17 on the streamer, the series was developed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon who previously co-directed comedies Blaze of Glory and Office Christmas Party. Voice talent from Olivia Munn and George Takei, meanwhile, rounds out the cast.
