We just recently climbed out of our cave after watching the newest season of House Gf Cards on Netflix. While Frank is cunning, conniving, and calculated in his political endeavors, you don't have to be Kevin Spacey, or even involved in politics for that matter, to learn a thing or two from this insane politician. *knock knock*.

.) Keep your promises. "The nature of promises is that they remain immune to changing circumstances."

.) You are entitled to nothing. "You build your future, it isn't handed to you."

.) Don't let things go to your head. "Proximity to power deludes some into thinking they wield it."

.) Choose your battles wisely. "Do not start a war you know you're gonna lose."

.) Don't go into business with friends. "Friends make the worst enemies."

.) Learn fast. Don't let them take you down. "When you're fresh meat, kill and throw them something fresher."

.) Set things straight when they're not. "There's no better way to overpower a trickle of doubt than with a flood of naked truth."

.) Every man has a weakness. "Even Achilles was only as strong as his heel."

.) Know when to keep your mouth shut. "When the money's coming your way, you don't ask any questions."

.) Power is always worth more than cold hard cash. "Money is the McMansion in Sarasota that starts falling apart after 10 years. Power is the old stone building that stands for centuries. I cannot respect the man who cannot tell the difference. "

.) If you're not satisfied with how things are, change them. "If you don't like how the table is set, turn over the table."

.) Be nice, but always be prepared for the worst. "Shake with your right hand, but hold a rock in your left."

.) The world's a stage, and the competition is fierce. "There is but one rule: hunt or be hunted."

.) Be confident. "Insecurity bores me."

.) Never back down from a bully. "What is the face of a coward? The back of his head as he runs from the battle."

.) There are steps into manipulating people to get what you want. "You can’t turn a ‘no’ into a ‘yes’ without a ‘maybe’ first."

.) Don't be the idiot that's losing his temper and running his mouth every chance he gets. "Do you want to discuss courage? Because anyone can commit suicide or spout their mouth in front of a camera. But you wanna know what takes real courage? Keeping your mouth shut no matter what you might be feeling, holding it all together when the stakes are this high."

.) "Never. Regret."
