Artist Combines Random Flea Market Photos Into Coherent Landscapes

Hanging memories.

Artist, James Frede is doing something rad right now. Going around flea markets scooping up random photographs doesn't sound that appealing. But what may seem purposeless at first, Frede is actually creating something beautiful. He compiles these photographs to design custom built frames to construct narrative landscapes

"The Fiction Landscapes are made with banal photographs of landscapes I purchase at flea markets then arranging them into new landscapes by aligning in such a way that the scene continues from photo to photo spanning wide geographic locations and decades." - James Frede

The scenic conclusions are brilliant. See for yourself.
