Sports and Pokémon cards continue to make a splash in the market. And it's not just small collectors getting in on the action, as fractional ownership apps like Rally and Otis along with investment groups of various sizes look to strengthen their offerings and portfolios. And just a few weeks after Logic purchased a First Edition Charizard card from the 1999 Pokémon set for a whopping $226,000 USD, another one just sold via Goldin Auctions for a cool $369,000 USD.

For our money, we prefer taking a flyer on Charizard cards from the 1995 Topsun and 1997 Carddass sets, which both released before the coveted first edition set in the United States. They're readily available on eBay in varying conditions, with pricing starting around $275 USD. Thank us in a few years....
