Today, Jaguar Land Rover announced that the fourth member of the Range Rover family will be fully unveiled on March 1, 2017 at the New York International Auto Show.
Named the Range Rover Velar, which pays homage to the original Range Rover prototypes of 1969, the new model will fit in nicely between the Evoque and Sport, both in price point and size.
Land Rover Chief Design Officer, Gerry McGovern, had this to say: “We call the Velar the avant-garde Range Rover. It brings a new dimension of glamor, modernity, and elegance to the brand. It changes everything.” Hmm. Sounds more or less like marketing gibberish, but we can't help but be a bit excited by words like "avant-garde."
We'll share further details and additional photos with you once they drop. See you out there.
