The 2023 Porsche Macan T has just been introduced, which will slot between the base model and Macan S. It's the first SUV from the German automaker to get the "T" badge, which has been exclusive to sports car models until now.

The Macan T opts for the same turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four as the base Macan, which is good for a 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 144 mph. However, it offers plenty of upgrades. For starters, the Sports Chrono package comes standard, which adds a driving mode switch on the steering wheel alongside an analog and digital stopwatch. Also standard is the Porsche Active Suspension Management. The all-wheel-drive system is tweaked as well, providing more rear-based oomph.

Visually is where things get a lot more interesting, though. The exterior trim is finished in Agate Grey Metallic, while blacked-out elements such as the Macan T badging and exhaust pipes add a more menacing presence. The wheels also see an upgrade, now sized at 20-inches. Inside, a heated GT Sport Steering Wheel arrives standard, as does a unique upholstery featuring the Porsche crest embossed in the headrest.

All in all, a welcomed addition to the lineup. Due out Q2.
