The New Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster is Master of the Open Road

Later this year, Mercedes-AMG will expand its top-class sports car portfolio with the new AMG GT S Roadster, bringing the total number of AMG GT variants to a round dozen including four two-door Coupes, three Roadsters, two customer sports racing cars and three four-door Coupes

The new AMG GT S Roadster delivers eye-popping numbers and an equally thrilling driving experience thanks to the combination of a lightweight aluminum spaceframe, a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and other performance and interior upgrades.

The engine delivers an output of 515 hp and maximum torque of 494 lb-ft. which equates to a 0-60 mph sprint of just 3.7 seconds along with a top speed of 192 mph – on the track, of course, right gentlemen?

The driver is able to customize the experience via the AMG Dynamic Select controller which offers five drive modes: "C" (Comfort), "S" (Sport), "S+" (Sport Plus), "RACE" and the individually programmable setup "I" (Individual).

There are three main bespoke packages available for the wicked ride that can further tailor it to your desires: The AMG Dynamic Plus package for enhanced handling and driving dynamics, and the AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber package and the AMG Exterior Night package to well, make it look even more badass.

Additional details including pricing are expected closer to dealer delivery later this year, but expect to pay a premium over the $124,400 sticker on the "base" AMG GT Roadster, which is already a pretty exhilarating machine. James Bond might just want to consider going German on his next adventure....
