Land Rover has just unveiled the Defender P400e, a plug-in hybrid model that combines a 2.0L four-cylinder 105kW electric motor and a 19.2kWh battery. The pairing pumps out a healthy 398 hp with a top speed of 130 mph and a combined 85.4 mpg. And if you want to opt for all-electric motoring, it delivers 27 miles of range for just that.
Pricing for the Defender P400e is quite reasonable all things considered — somewhere around $85,000 USD — but that's partly because it's only available on the 110, which is the most affordable trim level Land Rover offers.
Exclusive to the European market as of now, we're hoping we see this stateside soon enough.
