The Ford GT is flying into its final production year in 2022. And to celebrate the endeavor, the American motoring house is paying tribute to its origins with an updated Heritage Edition that evokes the style and feel of an early prototype from 1964.

The special edition, retro-tinged release mimics the paint scheme of the original with Wimbledon White met with Antimatter Blue accents and an over-the-roof triple racing stripe.

Other design details include 20" Antimatter Blue-painted carbon fiber wheels, a healthy amount of exposed carbon fiber throughout, and an interior that pairs Lightspeed Blue Alcantara upholstery with a leather-wrapped instrument panel.

For those interested in seeing in the flesh, both the 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition and the car that inspired it are on display at The Quail in Pebble Beach currently. Don't miss it.
