The Brabus Black Ops 800 Is the Meanest G-Wagen Ever Built

The other day we told you about German tuner Brabus' blacked-out take on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S super coupe. Now the firm has turned its hand to the most badass vehicle in Benz's lineup, the G 63 AMG, aka the top of the line G-Wagen.

The limited edition super-SUV, dubbed the Brabus Black Ops 800, has more horsepower – 800 to be precise – than either the Lamborghini Urus or the Bentley Bentayga Speed. And as you might have guessed from the name it operates in stealth mode even at 150 mph-plus.

Only 10 of them will be built around a bespoke Brabus 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that propels it from 0–62 mph in just 4.1 seconds. Brabus has also widened the body of the stock G-Wagen and put it on custom "Black Platinum" hi-tech 23" forged wheels for an extra menacing stance.

Other design elements include fender flares, a massive air scoop on the hood and an LED light unit above the windshield, both of which sport a glossy naked-carbon finish. The merest touches of bright red, such as on the lettering of the gloss black brake calipers and two red struts in the radiator grille hint at the beast lurking within.

The interior is a symphony of black and charcoal grey leather with red accents hinting at the capability of the 800 hp powerplant. This is set off by tailor-made naked carbon elements and a special racing-inspired steering wheel.

Finally, a custom Brabus sport exhaust offers different modes depending on how loudly you wish to announce your presence. But the full-throated roar of the thing is likely to startle everyone around you.

Each example will cost about $310,000 and we expect all 10 to be spoken for pretty quickly, so if you want to be the scourge of Santa Monica Boulevard we suggest some quick work with the pen and checkbook.
