To celebrate their 100th birthday, BMW just predicted what their cars will look like 100 years in the future.
With an alien-like design, the zero-emissions concept defiantly looks like something out a sci-fi movie.
The ride combines coupé-type sportiness with the spaciousness of a sedan, while being able to essentially shape-shift and customize itself so that it's perfectly tailored to suit the driver’s changing needs. Basically, a more subtle version of Optimus Prime.
What does that look like? Well, say you throw the thing in "Boost" mode. The entire vehicle focuses on the driver and puts a heavy focus on zooming through at high speeds by indicating the ideal driving line and steering point.
In "Ease" mode, everything is about comfort and leisure, so the headrests rotate for a more laid-back driving feel and the center console retracts for more comfort and space.
Personally, we think self-driving flying-cars will be all the rage when we're dead and gone 100 years from now, but this is certainly an exciting look in its own way.....
